As in previous years, the Administrative and Technical Checks will take place at the CLERMONT 4* Spa Hotel where the PC will be located throughout the Rally.

There will be no Parc Fermé. The vehicles will remain in the Service Park under surveillance every night. The departure and arrival time controls will be located each day, near the service park.

10th Winter Romania Historic Rally – January 15-17, 2026

The 10th Winter Romania Historic Rally will take place in the majestic Carpathians of Transylvania, one of the coldest regions of Romania, from Thursday, January 15 to Saturday, January 17, 2026.

The organizing team, led by Paul Lacombe and his team, Simon Arpad, George Grigorescu, Race Director Régis Dufresne, and Steward Marie-Laure Alain, is ready to offer you an exceptional program.

This rally promises three days of thrilling competition, with a looped route around the town
of Covasna.

Participants will have the opportunity to race on completely icy and snowy forest roads, particularly on the Comandaü plateau.

The total distance of the rally will be approximately 380 kilometers, including 220 kilometers of timed stages with a new 30-km special stage to be completed once in each direction. An exceptional program offering great sliding and unique driving pleasures for all competitors.

Organized under the auspices of the FRAS (Romanian Federation of Sports Cars), this event is open to VHC and LEGEND vehicles, as well as to the VHRS and VMRS 2- and 4- wheel drive categories, registered before December 31, 1999, with or without a PTH. A Junior category has also been created for young people aged 16 to 20.

A few places are available for Modern or Historic vehicles in Opening or VIP cars. The CLERMONT**** Spa Hotel in Covasna will serve as a base camp for officials and competitors, as well as for administrative checks. Registration is open from September 1, 2025.

  • Shakedown : Thursday, January 15, 2026 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m
  • Thursday, January 15, 2026 : Stage 1 from 4:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
  • Friday, January 16, 2026 : Stage 2 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m
  • Saturday, January 17, 2026 : Stage 3 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
